Get To Know Me!

Summer Gienapp, LMT

If you told me ten years ago that I would one day be giving massages for a living, I would’ve thought you were crazy. My dad would argue that by reminding me of all of the “pizza” I used to make on his back as a trick for a quick (and I’m sure terrible) massage. To boost my ego, he would tell me, “You’re so good, you should be a massage therapist!” I never believed him but now I’m living proof that our parents might actually be right… sometimes. Who would’ve thought that all of the “pizza” I made as a kid would lead me to a career in massage therapy.

My name is Summer Gienapp and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist providing services out of Fruita, Colorado. I was born and raised here in the grand valley where I attended Colorado Mesa University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Graduation was followed by a position in the physical therapy department of our local hospital as a rehab aide and eventually moving into the role of an Exercise Physiologist to grow a wellness program.

My experience has allowed me to work with special populations and individuals who wouldn’t let an injury or diagnosis define who they are. Massage has taught me that every person is dealing with their own challenge but it’s amazing how much just an hour of manual therapy can change their perspective. A lot of clients have asked how I make it through massaging for hours a day and my response has always been, “The way you feel getting a massage, is exactly how I feel giving the massage.”
